About the founder

Wilson Nyah is the founder and CEO of Nyanu Investment Services (NYIS), an investment consultancy based in Washington, DC. Born in Cameroon, Central Africa, Wilson also leads Niki Heat SARL, a beauty services and entertainment company located in Cameroon.

Wilson's American journey began when he relocated to the United States in 2006 armed with a Marketing degree from the Catholic University of Central Africa. His early American experience included roles at Best Buy and McDonald’s; experiences which served as cultural immersion, deepening his understanding of American society.

Driven by a thirst for knowledge and growth, Wilson pursued further education at Marymount University, where he obtained a Project Management certificate and an MBA. Notably, his MBA journey commenced amidst the aftermath of the Lehman Brothers collapse in 2008, a pivotal moment that shaped his perspective on market dynamics and opportunities.

He joined Navy Federal Credit Union in an analytic role in 2011, and his strategic insights contributed to a significant expansion of the global branch network. His commitment to continuous learning led him to Johns Hopkins University’s Carey Business School, where he earned a Masters in Finance in 2017.

In 2018, Wilson was selected to lead the newly formed Digital Products team within the Investment division of Navy Federal. Under his guidance, the team coordinated the design, development, and rollout of Digital Investor, an online investing platform that enables users to invest in American stocks and ETFS. By the time Wilson concluded his tenure in December 2023, Digital Investor served nearly 100,000 users with over $170 million in invested assets.

Driven by a vision to bridge capital abundance in the US with high-yielding opportunities in Africa, Wilson founded NYIS in 2024. This venture symbolizes the culmination of his personal, academic, and professional journey.
